TannerTanner Sorrells, the host of Sorrells Youth Outdoors has been an avid sportsman all of his life. He has exceeded the demands of youth team sports such as baseball, football, basketball and loves anything associated with the outdoors. Tanner enjoys all types of hunting and thought he prefered afternoon hunting to early morning, until spending several hours in the dark following a blood trail. Residing on Lake Murray, Tanner is able to enjoy one of his favorate pastimes, fishing, and can brag that he caught one of the largest crappie’s around. Tanner is in the fifth grade at Lake Murray Elementry and spends most of his time outdoors with his brother, Austin, who is in the second grade.

AustinAustin Sorrells, younger brother of Tanner Sorrells, is a second grader at Lake Murray Elementary School. Austin loves playing first base and catcher on his baseball team. After school and homework, you will find Austin casting a lure into Lake Murray hoping to land that 10 lbs. largemouth. Austin is somewhat of a crack shot at clay rabbit shooting with his bolt action 410 shotgun. Austin will serve as co-host and part-time cameraman for Sorrells Youth Outdoors.

JimmyJimmy Owens is a 5th grader at Lake Murray Elementary in Chapin, S.C. Jimmy enjoys bass fishing, baseball and Clemson football. His fishing experence started at age 3 with the catching of a 2.5 lb largemouth. He also likes saltwater fishing for blue fish and king mackerel. He fishes mostly of the coast of South Carolina at Pawley’s Island. He is an avid dove hunter who’s looking forward to his first turkey hunt.

ConnorConnor Ray was born with a deer rifle in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. Living in central Alabama where he is a student at Oak Mountain Elementary School, Connor is as at home in the woods as the confines of room. His father, nationally known sportsman and television show host, has taken Connor hunting and fishing all across North America. An all round young man who excels at everything from his school work to team sports, Connor’s favorite hunting is for whitetail deer and bobwhite quail, and is anxious to make his first trip to Canada for spring season black bear. An angler quickly mastering the art of fooling the big bass native to his home waters of Alabama, Connor has already out-fished his father and older brother on a number of occasions.

CarterCarter Sims is a classic 10 year old southern boy. He loves Jesus, hunting and sports, in that order. Carter has followed the lead of his father and older brother in these pursuits. Carter’s passion for hunting has surpassed both father and brother. When he is not hunting he is talking about it. He killed his first deer at age 9, and now wants terribly to bag a big turkey. Carter’s imagination and high energy level always keeps his family entertained.

ColtonColton Deaver For his young age, Colton is an accomplished outdoorsman. Growing up in the northeast Georgia mountains, he has become an avid hunter and fisherman, with many trophies under his belt. Colton began competing at the age of eight in 3-D archery tournaments across north Georgia, receiving recognition which includes multiple first place awards. His passion for the outdoors has led him to pursue whitetail deer, wild boar, black bear, as well as an occasional trout stream. Colton is an active member of his church and spends any time he is not in the woods on the golf course. At the age of 13, he is also an honor roll student, proving that you can chase your dreams and keep your priorities in check.

CorbinCorbin Shaw is a 12 year old 6th grade honor roll student in Millbrook, Alabama, where he resides with his parents and his little sister. His favorite subjects are history and physical education. His favorite television shows are hunting/fishing on Outdoor Life Network and future weapons on the Discovery channel. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, football, baseball, and basketball. He occasionally enjoys video games on his X-Box or PS2 but, if the weather is good enough you will find him outside in the woods or on a lake or stream. His favorite game to hunt is the whitetail deer and his favorite fish to catch is the crappie. His goals in life include attending a college with an academic and/or athletic scholarship and pitching in the major leagues.

HunterHunter Mozingo is an 11 year old 5th grader at Edgewood Academy in Millbrook, AL. Hunter is an all around athlete who enjoys baseball, football and of course, hunting and fishing. Hunter loves attending church with his family and hanging out with friends. The turkey he is shown with weighed 23 lbs. and had a 9.5 inch beard.
